Whole Numbers - Assessment

We are just finishing up our Whole Numbers Unit.  Our Show What You Know assessment will be on Friday Oct. 5, 2018.  The following is an outline of what will be included in the assessment.

Number Sense - Exploring Whole Numbers

What You Need to Know

Overall Expectation:

• read, represent, compare, and order whole numbers to 100 000

Specific Expectations:

• represent, compare, and order whole numbers to 100 000, using a variety of tools
• demonstrate an understanding of place value in whole numbers  to 100 000, using a variety of tools and strategies
• read and print in words whole numbers to ten thousand

Process Expectations:

• Communicating - communicate mathematical understanding with others
• Representing - represent mathematical thinking in different ways

Success Criteria

I am successful when I can:

___ represent numbers to 100 000 in a variety of ways (numeral, words, base ten blocks, place value chart, number lines)

___ compare whole numbers to 100 000

___ order whole numbers to 100 000

___ demonstrate an understanding of place value in whole numbers

___ read and print whole numbers to ten thousand
